Youth Week WA is Western Australia’s largest annual celebration of young people aged 10 to 25, providing them with an opportunity to express their ideas, raise important issues, create entertainment and celebrate young people’s contribution to the community.
Young people are also our current (and future workers) and engaging young people in the workforce and society is essential not only for their personal economic stability and well-being but also for broader economic growth and social cohesion. Early and ongoing industry engagement during schooling plays a key role in improving youth employment outcomes. Research indicates that students who interact with four or more employers during their education are more likely to gain employment once they leave school.
